The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I will genuinely try to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Respectful Interaction
Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the novice continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
